Sharon Laboratories’ patented Amplify technology is proving to be an exciting solution for chemists and product managers as they face the ever-changing and evolving challenges of consumer desire for “clean” beauty.
Two encompassing preservative lines have been launched using this revolutionary boosting platform: Sharomix™ Amplify and SharoSENSE™ Plus.

These mild preservative systems provide superior antimicrobial activity at low use levels as well as options that are free from paraben, formaldehyde donors, and Isothiazolines. They deliver high-compatibility in formulas and compliment the message of health and wellness that is trending with today’s consumers.
Sharomix™ AM24 is broad spectrum, non pH-dependent, and phenoxyethanol-free. Ideal for leave-on, rinse-off, and wet wipe applications. It is odor- and color-free.
SharoSENSE™ Plus 181-N is a green preservative system sourced from natural Maltol with exceptional antimicrobial efficacy and increased solubility. It is broad-spectrum and compatible in cationic and anionic formulations and is paraben- and formaldehyde-free.
Suitable for a wide range of products
The Sharomix™ Amplify and SharonSENSE™ Plus lines are suitable for a wide range of product applications, including leave-on, rinse-off, and more. While functionality and actives are the primary building blocks when formulating, in keeping with consumer preferences, we work with formulators to consider which preservative will allow the brand to stay loyal to their definition of “clean” while remaining safe.
