IRIS™ is a highly pureified, colorless, and odorless mixture of alkanes with the sensory characteristics of cyclomethicone. It can be used as a suitable alternative to D5 silicones in cosmetic formulations and offers silky spreadability and soft afterfeel in personal care formulations. It meets the purity requirements of the National Formulary (NF), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) per 21 CFR 172.878.
