October 13, 2026 – Coast Southwest, Inc. has achieved Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification for its Paso Robles, CA, facility. This milestone completes RSPO certification across the company’s manufacturing and distribution operations and brings Paso Robles into Coast Southwest’s existing RSPO-certified supply chain, strengthening the company’s ability to support customers seeking responsibly sourced palm-derived ingredients.
Palm-derived materials are widely used in personal care formulations, making responsible sourcing an important consideration for formulators, product developers, and brands. RSPO is a global, voluntary organization that establishes sustainability standards for the production and procurement of certified sustainable palm oil. Its Supply Chain Certification Standard provides requirements for organizations that handle RSPO-certified materials throughout the supply chain, with compliance independently audited and maintained through ongoing verification.
“Our customers increasingly care about what goes into the products that touch people every day, and that means it matters to us, too,” said Justin J. Phillips, Plant Manager. “Achieving RSPO certification at Paso Robles is another way we can listen to what the market is asking for and then put responsible practices in our products. It brings this facility into the same industry certification as the rest of Coast Southwest and gives our customers another level of confidence in our supply chain.”
The RSPO certification reflects Coast Southwest’s continued commitment to responsible sourcing and to meeting the evolving sustainability requirements of its customers.
