Our HistoryThe Coast Southwest Story
1985Coast Chemical is incorporated
A full-service, specialty chemical, surfactant, and silicone distributor is incorporated in Placentia, CA, as Coast Chemical, Inc.
1998Joseph C. Cimo is appointed president
2003Southwest Silicones Acquisition
Coast Chemical acquires the Southwest Silicone Division of PATH Silicones, in Dallas, TX. In 2005, expands operations to manufacture silicone emulsions.
2008Rebranded as Coast Southwest
Consolidates all brands and lines of business and continues operations under the name of Coast Southwest, Inc.
2013Arlington, TX Opens
To accommodate rapid growth, Coast Southwest opens a new distribution center to house local customer service, regional sales, a warehouse, liquid bulk storage, packaging, and blending. The site is home to the corporate laboratory for the research and development of unique ingredient concepts and applications.
2014Placentia, CA Expansion
Coast Southwest acquires an additional 33,000-square-foot facility in Placentia, CA, to accommodate expanded customer demand.
2023Irving, TX Corporate Headquarters Opens
New state-of-the-art facility, offering custom blending, research and development, storage, and warehousing.
2023Surfactants Manufacturing Acquisition in Paso Robles, CA
Coast Southwest opens it’s newest surfactants manufacturing facility
