Production Operator I

The Production Operator I will report to the Production Lead. The goal of the Production Operator I is to safely produce quality materials for customers in the Paso Robles Production Department. To work collaboratively and with dedication to continuous improvement and meet high-quality standards.

Essential Job duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce specific customer orders. Follow batch sheet recipes
    • Charge the appropriate material amounts
    • Fill out paperwork properly and thoroughly with proper notation of lot numbers and products 
    • Pull batch samples for the lab and add required material additions as directed
    • Clean bulk tankers, blending vessels, and equipment
    • Follow manufacturing procedures and fill out Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Follow plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Unload bulk tankers to storage tanks, totes, or drums.
  • Properly handle hazardous chemicals and dispose of chemicals in appropriate locations.
  • Follow Q7 GMP guidelines, SOPs, and other stated requirements for handling active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
  • Perform other duties as required and directed by the Production Lead, Plant Foreman, and Manufacturing Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of industrial/chemical plant experience.
  • Ability to work safely both independently and around others by following all required procedures.
  • Must be able to work around hazardous chemicals, and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Must exhibit strong organizational skills and be self-motivated.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills both oral and written.
  • Must be able to read and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures,
    and World Class Manufacturing processes.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work, a day or night shift and additional overtime as needed.

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background checks, drug testing, and behavioral assessments.
  • Employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
  • Ability to verbally communicate both in person and via telephone.
  • Ability to utilize various office equipment, including computer, telephone, and copy machine.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
