Better Than a Sweater Creamy SPF-70 – CSW 007-44

This creamy sunscreen achieves a high SPF without a heavy draggy feel. The Luxscreen® Titanium Dioxide, developed with Exclusion Volume Technology, provides high SPF and UVA protection without the risk of sedimentation. The significant lower density of these dispersions makes it easier to create stable formulations with increased Titanium Dioxide providing higher SPF while imparting a nice cushiony feel. The Creasperse® Fe masks the stark whiteness of the Titanium Dioxide.

Instructions

Phase A – In main vessel, add Phase A, mix, and heat to 60°C. Phase B – In a separate vessel, add Phase 8, mix, and heat to 45°C. Add Phase B Phase C – Add Phase C to Phase B and continue heating to 80°C. At temperature, switch to homogenizing (3,000 rpm for 30 seconds) and slowly add Phase BC to Phase A. Mix until uniform and then discontinue heat and homogenizing. Switch to propeller mixing and begin cooling to 60°C. Phase D – At temperature, add Phase D to Phase ABC with mixing at 500 rpm until uniform. The solution should become slightly viscous. Continue to cool to 50°C. Phase E – Add Phase E to Phase ABCD and allow the mixture to disperse the color uniformly. If needed, homogenize once more to disperse the color evenly and continue to cool to 40°C. Phase F – Add Phase F to Phase ABCDE and mix until uniform. Cool to 25-30°C and transfer to holding vessel.
