02-01-2007
Placentia, CA (February 2007) – Coast Chemical, Inc. announces that it has been appointed by Noveon, Inc. to distribute its surfactant line in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, and New Mexico. For over 20 years, Coast Chemical has been distributing products for Noveon and its predecessor, Chemron, and has now added responsibilities for the booming Intermountain territory.
“We’re pleased to extend our relationship with Noveon into this new territory,” says Joseph C. Cimo, President of Coast Chemical, Inc. “Noveon’s surfactants represent our signature offerings for customers in the Intermountain region. In fact, our relationship with Noveon allowed us to enter this market in the first place.”
Noveon, Inc. is based in Cleveland, Ohio, with offices in Belgium and Hong Kong. Noveon manufactures specialty chemicals, polymer based formulations and chemical additives for a broad range of consumer applications.
“We are pleased to announce the expansion of Coast Chemical's territory to include the intermountain region,” says Steve Semenczuk, Global Business Director, Noveon Personal Care and Surfactants. “Coast Chemical has been a highly valued surfactants distributor for Noveon, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of the Lubrizol Corporation, on the west coast for many years. Coast Chemical's professional sales force, integrated distribution services, and attention to detail exemplify a proven track record. Outstanding customer service at Coast Chemical has been a significant factor in the growth of our surfactant business on the west coast, which will now be offered to customers in the intermountain states as a result of our mutual decision to expand our relationship in this vital region.”
Coast Chemical, Inc. is headquartered in Placentia, in the Orange County area of Southern California. Coast Southwest, a division of Coast Chemical, is based in Grand Prairie, a suburb of Dallas, Texas. Coast Chemical was founded in 1985 as a full service vendor of fine chemicals and other specialty ingredients. The company purchased the Southwest Silicones division of PATH Silcones in early 2003 and merged the acquired business with its nascent Texas operation to form Coast Southwest. Coast Southwest is Texas’ premier personal care distributor and continues in the tradition of its predecessor, Southwest Silicones, as the region’s foremost supplier of high quality silicone raw materials.
For over twenty years, Coast has served the local personal care, household and industrial cleaner, food and nutrition industries with the highest quality products and top-notch service. Coast Chemical has been and remains committed to business in the Western United States, with expansions into Salt Lake City and other regions to be announced in early 2007.
